Fox Lake is ranked number three on Realtor.com ‘s list of affordable lake towns. According Realtor.com, “the town of Fox Lake, a little more than an hour's drive north from Chicago, sits amid a handful of lakes, including its namesake Fox Lake, along with Nippersink Lake, Grass Lake, and Pistakee Lake. These are all part of Illinois’ Chain O’Lakes, the state’s largest inland lake system. Fox Lake is known for lake activities, and tourism helps drive the town’s economy.”

The Hall of Fame honors exemplary graduates who achieved distinction, outstanding accomplishment or significant contribution within their professions, communities, schools, families, or personal lives. The individuals recognized provide positive role models, and promote excellence and achievement for our students. Grant Community High School is pleased to announce the selection of Mrs. Sharon Burr and Mrs. Kimberly Schnoor to the Hall of Fame.
Two Fox Lake businesses—both locally owned—have won awards recently: Ray Chevrolet and Black Lung Brewing.
Ray Chevrolet was awarded the Auto Remarketing Dealers Under 40. This award recognizes the best and brightest in retail automotive, including up-and-coming leaders from franchise dealers, independent dealers, dealer groups and online retailers.
Black Lung Brewing was recognized in Craft Beer & Brewing Magazine’s “Best in Beer 2024” for the Left Fork Kentucky Common Ale. The magazine gave the brew 95 out of 100 points.
